Nov, 2006: John Ravilous (s.g.m “Mabel ‘filia Willielmi Patrio’, wife of Nigel de Mowbray”) has found a charter title that says that Mabel was the daughter of William Patric, though the body of the charter did not include this.

May 2007: John Ravilious has added to this information from VCH that Mabel’s maritagium was Banstead, Surrey, which in Domesday was held by a Patrick of Odo, bishop of Bayeux.  He suggests this is confirmation of the account that Mabel’s father was William, probably son of this Patrick.
