The Barrington Family History has no information about her parentage but does say she was the wife of John Barrington.
However the Essex visitation of 1588 says that John Barrington's wife was "Katherine d. to Anthony Barnes".
I have no diea which is the correct wife. But in neither account was there any suggestion that she had arms.
Of her granddaughter Thomasine Barrington the same visitations says "da. & heire ux. William Sidney 2d to Launfox 3d to Sir John Hopton Knight". The errors in this are (a) that the order of marriages was Lunsford, Sidney, Hopton and (b) that Lunsford is not a little garbled. This does not improve the credibility of this Visitation.
