I had originally written that she and Capt Monkland had no children. But this was not true as in the 1851 census, they had a daughter Mary Georgina Monkland aged 36 living with them.

I am surprised that the dates for the Lince and the ceremony were the same in view of the time it took to travel in those days.
J W Clay in his additions to Dugdale’s Visitation of Yorks, Vol II, p. 178, gave the marriage date as 5 Dec 1809 which is a tad more practical.
