GeneralOf Chancery Lane. (Of Fothergill of Burghill, nr Richmond, Yorks)
Notes for Abraham Fothergill
He and Anne also had a son George who lived at North St, York; 1689-1770; apparently dsp.
In Copinger’s Sounty of Suffolk he includes that there are some pedigrees of Fothergill (and Fotherinhay) in Add MS 19129 and 19130. Sounds like a trip to the British Library.

The following was announced in the College of Arms Newsletter 33 in June 2012:
“FOTHERGILL: a pedigree of fifteen generations is headed by Lawrence Fothergill of Aiskew, parish of Bedale, Yorkshire, whose will was proved in 1593. It descends to the present day via Francis Fothergill, otherwise Francis Firby Fothergill, of Aiskew (baptized 1720), son of Francis Firby and Grace Fothergill. College reference: Norfolk 51/214.”
