From Peggy McClanahan, a descendant of William Pole:

(1) I am interested in the part of your genealogy online at
http://www.freewebs.com/powys/pl_tree/wc03/wc03_029.htm the has Anne
Cunliffe married to Charles Pole and William Shawe (if I am reading it
right).  This Charles Pole would be the brother of my
great-great-great-great grandfather, William Pole of Liverpool.
Charles was the fifth son of Samuel Pole of Radbourne and William was
the sixth son.  I will attach a scan of a page from a book called
Liverpool as It Was in the Last Quarter of the Eighteenth Century,
1775-1800 which shows part of this family tree.

(2) my research had showed Charles Pole married to Anne Cunliffe, daughter
of Foster Cunliffe.  Her IGI christening record at St. Nicholas Church
in Liverpool in 1715 is in batch 5005991.  I made an unsubstantiated
leap when I assumed that was the same Anne Canliff who married Charles
Pole in May of 1728 at the same St. Nicholas (Batch number M005991).
She would have been only 13, so maybe Charles Pole married Foster
Cunliffe's sister or even a cousin.
