No death record on FreeBMD before 1910.

On May 13 1914 he came off the SS Oceanic at New York and was entered into the Ellis Island records.  He claimed to be 42 and 4 months (correct).  He gave as his England contact the Governor, or at least a residient at the Governor’s House, of Parkhurst prison on the Isle of Wight.  He said he was a farmer.  From the look of the other occupations of the people on this list, he was travelling third class.  He was probably emigrating to the USA.
