His cousins, descendants of the baronial line, were of a Powys line from Sir Thos via his day Sarah who m. a Carthew, then their day. m. a Norris whose sole heir married the second baron.

Another of his relations, descended of his brother Henry Ernets, was the author P G Wodehouse.
