TFPL, Oct 2011: Just found an entry for her birth in the index of Overseas BMDs:
Regimental Birth POWYS NORAH 52nd Isle Of Man 1872 RbO-R.pdf p.189 Vol:1234 Page:28
Note that this is in contrast to the Cork, Ireland birth place she gave in the 1911 census. She probably had no birth certificate and maybe gave the earliest place she remembered as that of her birth. But her baptism has been discovered to have been by her grandfather the bishop in his Chapel on the Isle of Man.
An alternative entry is on a record titled “ARMY BIRTHS AND BAPTISMS”
Name Place Year Regt Vol Page
==== ===== ==== ==== === ====Powys. Norah Isle of Man 1872 52nd 1234 28
I suppose the question is whether this is for a birth or a baptism record. It is odd that both her and her brother, whose entry is for Malta, are listed together on this page and with the same volume number. But this is not worth the £11 to find the answer as both dsp.
_______________
Might she have migrated to Ireland and died there?
If she was single in 1911 and 38, I think it unlikely she would have married and had children. But nothing found in the Irish records, or even FindMyPast’s ‘World’ records.
Trying Ancestry.
And Ancestry produced the goods, an ‘INFORMAL REPORT OF DEATH OF A BRITISH SUBJECT’. This was handled by the American Foreign Service as France had been conquered by Germany, Britain was also fighting Germany and the Americans had not then declared war against the Germans. The record is:
