The Times has the following notice of their marriage in issue 27395 on 5 June 1872:
“On the 30th May, at St Saviour’s, Liverpool, by the Rev G D-Winslow, MA., Roger Yelverton Dawson-Yelverton, Esq, barrister-at-law, only son of Roger Dawson, Esq., of Brighton, and grandson of the late Hon. and Rev. Frederick Powys. of Achurch North Hants [sic], and Mary, only sister of Henry Yelverton, 15th lord Grey de Ruthin, to ELLEN, youngest daughter of the late JAMES LAWRENCE Esq., J.P., of Park-Hill, near Liverpool.”
