In 1871 she was living with her eldest sister Caroline in Oxford Terrace, Paddington, London. Age was 56, giving a birth year of 1815 which was correct for her Aug 1814 birth.
I could not find either her or her husband in the 1881 census.

There are 8 Eleanor Wilson deaths in 1890. Four of these are in the age range 70 to 86 in various places around the country so I can’t identify which is her.
Let’s ignore RCLPL’s info as his birth date was none too accurate!
First in the 1891 census there are no Eleanor Wilsons born in 1814 +/-1 year and whose birth was in Northants. So she proably died before 1891.
Second, on the new GRO death index which includes ages at death, the following were found dying at an age of 65 to 85:

Of the above the deaths in Pancras, Bridge, Edmonton, Fulham and Aylesbury were in southern counties where Eleanor might have moved to after her husband’s death, but, short of paying £6 each, I cannot begin to guess which might have been, if any, her death.
Nor could I find a will in her name.

There is a burial of an Eleanor Wilson in Cove, Surrey in 1875, and similarly in Norfolk in 1891, and likewise in Isleworth in 1871.

After all the above a search in FindMyPast’s newspaper columns produced this account of her will:
The Illustrated London News, March 18, 1899
“The will (dated April 8, 1895) of Mrs Eleanor Wilson, of 43 Cambridge Terrace, Hyde Park, widow of Dr. James Arthur Wilson, and daughter of the Hon. and Rev. Littleton Powys, who died on Jan 21, has been proved by Miss Amelia penelope mann, the niece, and Arthur Francis Forster, the executors, the value of the estate being £26,261. The testatrix gives £100 each to her nephew, Edward Littleton Vaughan, and Arthur Francis Forster; £200 to Mrs kezia Agar; her furniture, plate, pictures and domestic effects to Dr William Lee Dickinson of St. George’s Hospital; £100 to the Vicar of Holmwood, Dorking, upon trust, to apply the income in keeping in repair the grave of herseld and husband; and legacies to servants. The residue of her property she leaves as to one third, upon trust, for the children, except Mrs Dewhurst, of her sister, Mrs Frances Mann; one third to the children of Dr William Howship Dickinson; and one third to the children of the late Herbert Wilson.”
That immediately allowed me to look in the right decade for the public records and to find same!
