The Warks Vis'n of 1682-3, p. 34, shows a German Pole of Radbourne, Derbys, presumably (not, see below) his ancestor.  This earlier German Pole had m. Anne Newdigate, dau. of Sir Richard Newdigate, bt (1677) and d. 1678, of Ardbury, Warks; however the Deby vis'n shows that he dsp in 1681, but there has to be some connection..!

TFPL, Apr 2007: Stirnet, (www.stirnet.com/HTML/genie/british/pp/pole05.htm) shows his ancestry from a rather separate German Pole who was of a cadet line.  Burke LG of 1879 shows a sort of link between the original family which died out and these cousins who then inherited.
