Was he the Henry Powys at St John's, Oxford, matric 1735?
Or was he the lord of the manor of Stepleton? From

However the Warwick Record office has this document in its collection titled “Powys of Berwick, Shropshire”:
“Elizabeth Powys (nee Langley), niece of Sir Thomas Cotton of Eardley, Staffs. and wife of Henry Powys: draft jointure concerning Underhill Hall in Smethcott, Salop; Moat Farm in Stepleton, Salop, a messuage and lands in Coleham, Shrewsbury and messuages in Merivall in Shrewsbury.”
