Notes for Francis Moore
Presumably some descendants were alive in 1900 odd as some Moores were quartering the Twysden arms, plus everything the Twysdens had inherited. Ref Armorial Families by Fox-Davies, 7th Edn, Vol II, p. 1388 for MOORE of Chalfont St Giles.
However the Chalfont St Giles family cannot be shown to have any relationship to these Moores. The question that remains is what their relationship was with the Twisdens (not, apparently, Twysdens). The senior name in the Armorial Families was Rev Clement Glover Moore and he can be found aged two weeks in the 1851 census as “Clement Glovie Moore”, with his parents at Edward and mary Moore; Edward was Rector of Boughton Malherbe, Kent. Nothing to be found in the 1846 Burke’s Landed Gentry.

Burke’s of 1879 gives his death date as 1854 and FreeBMD has these two deaths:
Surname First name(s) Age District Vol Page
Deaths Mar 1854 (>99%)
Moore Francis Greenwich 1d 386
Deaths Jun 1854 (>99%)
Moore Francis Greenwich 1d 366
I almost wonder if they are not both for the one chap?

And The Times has this death on the 2nd Feb 1857:
“On the 30th ult, at Kensington, in his 80th year, Mr Francis Moore for many years an inhabitant of the parish of St Martin-in-the-Fields.”
Who would have paid to insert this?
