Notes for Alice St John
Visitation of Essex 1558 - Harleian MS merely as a daughter of a St John.
Note: "Portculis" suggested that Alice was the daughter of the Sir John St John who was the eldest son of her currently supposed father...
Her supposed father was born in 1426, possibly married after 1446. her brother John was born around 1460. It sounds unlikely that she would have been born much after 1460, yet she is reported as dying in 1553, not very likely to have survived over 90 years. Sounds very likely she was the daughter, in fact, of the John St John who married Sybil Morgan.
She is NOT listed among the children of John St John (-1460) in the Collectanea Topographica, Harleian MS 1074 made from 1505 to c.1530.
TFPL, Oct 2003: The Hunts Visit'n of 1613 confirms that she was dau. of John and Sybil.

She was almost certainly the baroness Morley in the queen’s retinue at the Field of the Cloth of Gold in June 1520.
