DeathDec 1698
General1st s. Of Kimmorgham and Bassindean (?)
Notes for George Hume
That he came from Kimmerghame and Bassendean is known so far only through the Hare pedigree which traces the earlier Trotters and is to be found in the Society of Genealogists’ Library.
In a 19th century Trotter family tree (pie chart to be precise) he is down as of Abbey St Bathams, not of Kimmorgham and Bassindean. And this is also to be found in the 1914 Burke's Landed gentry.
Further the Homes of Kimmerghame and those of Bassingdean are very separate families, though with a common ancestry in a Home of Home of 1413 or so.

TFPL: Interestingly I have just found that a George Hume worte some diaries which contained mentions of these Trotters. The book has been ordered and I wonder if it will establish that the diarist was the father-in-law.
