Notes for Sir William Lucy
Sep 2005, TFPL: At this man the Lucy descent becomes cloudy.  Dugdale syas in the text that it is:

1. Sir William (his father) b. c. 1277, d. c. 1329, m. Elizabeth
2. Sir William (himself) d. aft. 1349, m. Eliz.
3. Thomas d. aft 1355 who m. (1) Elizabeth, (2) Philippa
4. Sir William MP d. aft 1399
5. Sir Thomas MP d. 1425 m. Alice Hugford
6. William, heir to Eliz Clinton, d. 1467 m. Eliz de Grey
7. Sir William d. c. 1492 m. (1) Margaret, (2) Alice
8. Edmund son of Margaret, d. c. 1498 m. Jane
9. Sir Thos.d. 1525, m. Eliz. Empson
!
10. Willam d. 1552 m. Anne Farmer
11. Sir Thomas who built Charlcote.

On the other hand Alice Fairfax-Lucy (in her book) omits Thomas in generation 3.

And the Warks 1619 visitation pus an extra generation of a William at 3, gets generations 5 and 6 in reverse order and gives the wife of Edmund in generation 8 as Anne, not Jane.

Currently I am following Dugdale as he appears to have examined the various charters and his dates make sense.  But it really needs someone to find some IPMs and other such documentation.
