Notes for Elizabeth Despenser
m. (1) Maurice Berkeley, (2) Maurice Wyth.
She and Maurice B. had four sons, Thomas, James, John (dsp) and Maurice (dsps?) and three daus, Katharine, Agnes and Elizabeth (all dsp). It seems that only the male line of their second son James continued.

TFPL, Nov 2003: Doug Richardson found an Elizabeth de Berkeley who m. a Sir Maurice Wyth and concluded that this was an Elizabeth Berkeley who was thought to be unmarried, viz the daughter of this lady. But Brad Verity has suggested it is much more likely that this wife of Maurice Wyth was this lady, the widow of Maurice Berkeley. The entry about Maurice de Wyth and Elizabeth de Barkeley is in bishop Wykeham's register for 1372, a mere four years after Maurice Berkeley's death.
