CP (III, 346) refers to him as son and heir, indicating he was first son if not first child.
CP (III, 346) also say he was a minor on 10 Dec 1467, at least three years after his father’s death in 1464,
CP (III, 346) finally says that he was first summoned to Parl on 19 Aug 1472, presumably when he had reached 21.
So he was born at the latest in 1451 and at the earliest in 1446. So his parents were probably married by 1445 to 1450 (an illegitimate son would not have inherited the barony).
