Abstract of the Will of RICHARD SLANYE of the Hem, co. Salop, Gent.

My body to be buried near my wife
To the poor people of the parish of Lynley Willey and Barrow 40/- to be distributed at the discretion of my executor.
To each of the servants dwelling with me at my decease 5/- each.
To old NEWTON an ancient servant to my father and to my self his finding during life with lodging meate drink and apparel.
To my daughter MARY and her husband #10 to buy some plate
To my sone Moses SLANYE #50 at the age of 21
To my sone EDWARD SLANYE who had already a portion from me #5
To my son John SLANYE merchant #20
To my son STEPHEN SLANYE of Worcester Clothier 20 marks
To my loving brother Mr JOHN SLANYE 20/- for a ring and a like ring to my brother HUMPHREY SLANYE
To my sister-in-law Mrs JOHANE SLANYE my brother HUMPHREY's wife 20/- for a ring
To my sister ALLEN and my brother ALLEN sister EATON and brother EATON 10/- each for rings.
To my son RICHARD SLANYE of London Merchant all the lease of my dwelling house the Hem with appurtenances and all manner of my goods, debts and ready money etc, he paying my debts and legacies and I appoint him sole executor.
