Notes for Constance Bagot Hallifax
Thought to have been buried in the Borough Cemetery Tunbridge Wells, but not found by Grannies Ferrand and Hallifax on their now famous tour of instpection.
Note found on the Tree in my grandmother's hand:
"Pauline, & "Conty" (Constance), where?"
But - who was Pauline???

TFPL, Jul, 2008: The Tunbridge Wells Borough Cemetery records have been put on line and no record can be found of Constance therein - unless she changed her surname. (I searched under both spellings of Hallifax.)

In the 1861 census she was aged 8 and with her mother and siblings at Portsea, Hants; she was born in the East Indies.
In 1871 she was with her mother and some sisters again in Portsea.
