TFPL, June 2021: While searching for details of John Laurie Hallifax’ brith (and failing) I did find the image of her baptism in the baptism register of her baptism. The page does not include either the location of the baptism or the year in which it happened.
Bapt date: 21 JUne
Child’s Name: Gertrude Letitia
Parendts’ forenames: Robt Dampier & Harriet
Parents’ surname: Hallifax
Occupation: Captain H.M. 75. Regt
Celebrant: J Heavygate(?)
The FamilySearch transcript includes that the church was Grahamstown Cathedral, St George, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa but does not insert any year. I think is was 1833 from some other entries on that page.
