Sir Samuel Marshall and his wife Elizabeth nèe Worsley are our 5th great grandparents

Samuel's father was also a captain in the Navy but nothing has been found of his antecedents. Elizabeth came from a long line of Worsleys, then of the Isle of Wight and earlier of Lancashire, traceable back to the thirteenth century and possibly earlier.
