The descendants of our Barrington GGGG Grandparents

Regular script - sup script
The Barringtons are our most genealogically distinguished ancestors with a well documented descent from a Barentone of Norman times. But the male lines died out¤ with the daughter who was married to Henry Philip Powys, she was thereby a co-heiress which gave us the heraldry that not a few of us treasure. There are 195 known descendants as at May 2017 and are in the following files:
  • A chart of every known descendant over 10 pages of A3 size of paper. The file size is 396 Kilobytes.
  • A text list of the descendants over 16 pages of A4 paper. The file is 71 Kilobytes.
On the left of every name in the list is the descendant's generation number in brackets preceded by that number of spaces. This give a layout that resembles a pedigree on its side.

¤ I toy with the idea that this dying out of male lines, as with a few other families, was a genetic fault. Further, as it does not appear in the descendants of the daughters, it would seem that it might be a genetic fault that is carried only by males. It is thus self-correcting.
